Dec 19 Connectors Table – Fixing helping and serving

The holidays often involve doing things, going places, and being with people we don’t often see. For most of us this means we’ll engage with others (sometimes for the first time) with disabling conditions.
Please join the conversation. Feel free to bring a friend and/or share this message with others.

Take care of yourself.

MoMS Connectors Table: Exploring our relationship with disability

In this issue:

December 19: Fixing, helping, and serving

The December 19, 2017 MoMS Connectors Table will explore the (sometimes awkward) topic of fixing, helping, and serving. We fix what is broken, help those who cannot help themselves, but true service involves walking side-by-side with others. This conversation may be especially relevant as year-end celebrations bring us into contact with family and friends we haven?t seen in a while.

When: The December MoMS Connectors Table will take place on Tuesday, December 19 at 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM. Vision Forward Association campus located at 912 North Hawley Rd., Milwaukee. For more information or to register: [[Register[(http://)meetu.ps/38FWGC

Who we are

The MoMS Connectors Table series explores our relationship with disability through first-person, facilitated, conversations.
An underlying tenant of the roundtables is ?We are each of us broken, and yet, we are all whole persons.?

Who we engage with

All roundtables are open to everyone. The roundtable conversations may be of special interest to: employers, HR professionals, persons with a disabling condition, PWD allies, and disability service providers. As a first-person conversation, all participants are asked to speak on behalf of themselves, from their own experiences.
