Mainstreaming on Main Street® and Ex Fabula are once again partnering to bring (sometimes) unheard voices to their storyteller stage. We are planning a storytelling workshop in anticipation of the April 16, 2024 Ex Fabula Story Slam.
The workshop will be held virtually and will allow participants to work with Ex Fabula coaches to develop their own stories and share them with their fellow workshop participants. Participants who are interested may have an opportunity to present their story as part of the Ex Fabula Story Slam taking place on April 16.
Ex Fabula created the Equal Access project to enable more individuals with disabilities to tell their stories on Ex Fabula stages. This initiative celebrates individuals with disabilities and persons at the intersection of disability and the LGBTQ community while allowing audience members to learn by hearing perspectives that are sometimes overlooked.
The workshop will take place February 27 and March 5. There will be two sessions lasting two hours each, 6:30 – 8:30 pm (CST).
“There’s a lot to be said for someone who can get up on stage and tell a personal story in front of a room full of strangers. It takes guts and confidence and a clear voice.” (Ex Fabula, 2021)
If you are interested in participating in this storytelling experience please share your Contact information through the linked form by Friday, February 16. We will let you know more information about dates, times, and other details as they develop. For more information, contact Dan Lococo .
Everyone has a story. Your story is unique and may be just what someone else needs to hear.
